Invest in the Kingdom

What better way to see the Kingdom grow - sow generously!

Matthew 13:23 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
2 Corinthians 9:6  Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
I have learnt a great lesson this year. Yes, I know these scriptures as well as you do, but I had never really ‘known’ them, until now. Despite many financial problems over this past 18 months the Lord has been testing my faith. I used to listen to preachers talking about sowing seeds and I would just switch off; “someone else after money” would go through my mind.
But of recent times, in fact I will never forget the moment ‘the lights came on’, I have received revelation; I mean real revelation, like Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17-19,‘I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.’

This hit me right between the eyes. Wow! I tell you I have been moving in faith, praying in faith, sowing seeds generously, and you know what - I have seen increase! I have seen God’s hand move mightily. Friends, He has so much more for us - He has already given it to us, we just need to ‘see’ it. I have very recently been informed that since I got involved in this ministry during 2003, nearly 10,000 souls have recorded coming to Jesus; 10,000! I’m only doing this part time!!! Isn’t that amazing? I am not boasting in me, but in Christ crucified; it’s all about Jesus. But He has chosen to use us, despite me - I find that truly amazing grace.

I thank those who have been praying for us; I thank those of you who have given sacrificially and generously - bless you.
If you are not ‘sowing generously’ and you know as you read this that the Holy Spirit is prompting you, then don’t wait, exercise your faith and sow!

In your letter to LPEA, please ask Janie to apportion your gift for Alan’s mission fund and if possible please send me an email of your intent.
LPEA are a registered charity and therefore Gift Aid can be claimed on your donation. You can either make a one-off gift or you can set up a monthly Standing Order as others have done - this is a great way to give as it allows for planning of missions. This can be a personal gift or via you business; whatever works best for you.

I have prayed in faith for £100,000 for 2010. That will allow on average for 10 city missions to take place; that is thousands of souls to hear the gospel. Do you want to be part of this?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you so much for your continuing support.

May God bless you

Alan
